CERTIFICATE OF ADMISSION TO THE REGIister.

19. Every nurse admitted to the Register shall be granted a certificat in the form set out in the Third Schedule to these Regulations, and such certificate shall be under the Seal of the Board, and no document purporting to be a certificate of admission to the Register shall be valid unless it is under the Seal of the Board.

20. In the event of a certificate becoming lost or accidentally destroyed, the holder may apply to the Board for a fresh certificate, and the Board may, if they think fit, grant such fresh certificate upon payment by the applicant of a fee of $5. A certificate issued under this rule shall be marked "Duplicate".

21. Any person shall be entitled, upon payment to the Director of Medical and Sanitary Services of a fee of $5, to be furnished with a certifi- cate signed by the Chairman of the Board certifying that on a specified date, or during a specified period, a nurse is or was or is not or was not included in the Register as the case may be.

NURSES REGISTERED ELSEWHERE IN H. M. DOMINIONS.

22. Any person who proves to the satisfaction of the Board that she has been trained either generally as a nurse for the sick, or as a nurse of some special class in any place outside the Colony to which Section 5 of the Ordi- nance for the time being applies, shall be entitled upon making application to the Board, (either after examination or without examination as the Board may direct), to be admitted to the appropriate part or parts of the Register.

The fee payable in such case shall be the same as that payable in the case of an application under Rule 5 of these Rules.

23. Any person whose name is included in the General Part of the Register kept by the General Nursing Council for England and Wales, the General Nursing Council for Scotland, the General Nursing Council for Ireland, or by the Joint Nursing and Midwives' Council (Northern Ireland), or in any supplementary part of the same, shall on making application to the Director of Medical and Sanitary Services, and paying the prescribed fee, and on production of a certificate issued by the Registrar of the Council on whose Register the said person is registered, to the effect that her name has been entered and is included in such Register, and of a complete copy of that entry, be entitled to be admitted to the corresponding part or parts of the Register.

PART V.

REMOVAL OF NURSE FROM REGISTER.

24. -(1) When it is brought to the notice of the Board that a nurse who is included in the Register (in this part of these regulations referred to as the Respondent") has been convicted of any offence punishable with impri- sonment or has been guilty of any misconduct, the Director of Medical and Sanitary Services after making such further enquiries relative thereto as he thinks necessary may lay the matter before the Board.

(2) The Director of Medical and Sanitary Services may decline to proceed with the matter unless the evidence in support of the charge (other than evidence of a conviction) is verified by a statutory declaration.

(3) Before reporting on any case to the Board, the Director of Medical and Sanitary Services shall invite the Respondent to furnish any written statement or explanation which she may wish to offer.
